Outdoor Wedding Ideas
Outdoor weddings are more popular in milder weather, like spring, summer and fall. But
even when couples decide they want to have an outdoor wedding they are not so
sure about how to decorate the area or what to do to help make their wedding
unique and how to help it stand out. Here are some ideas to get your creative
juices flowing about outdoor weddings:
I love these Christmas ornaments that are filled with baby’s breath. These are
cute and elegant decorations but they are also inexpensive and a great do it
yourself project. Just imaging some of these hanging on the alter or from trees
or on the tables. There are tons of ways that you can use this cute idea.
This is another great idea, releasing a dove at the end of the wedding ceremony. I
have also seen butterflies be released instead of a dove. Whatever your
preference this would certainly be a memorable event that wedding guests would
remember forever. Plus you will have stunning pictures like this one.
This is another beautiful idea, to light your outdoor space with hanging candles.
This trellis has been transformed from just a wooden frame to when night time
falls, an illuminated haven. I love the idea of candles outside though. Hanging
candles can be put in trees or arches, while floating candles can be put in
ponds, and regular candles can adorn the alter or tables. There are tons of
great ways to decorate with candles.
If you are not so sure about candles though and want something a little safer,
then there is the option of hanging lanterns. These are simply beautiful and
add a certain essence and ambiance to the reception area.
If you are afraid of the weather turning on your outdoor wedding, a white tent
might be the right idea for you and under that tent you can still use the idea
of paper lanterns, as seen with these white round ones. These can even be used inside (as in this
picture). Whatever your preference, they add a nice soft glow to the room.
Finally my favorite method of send off for an outdoor wedding is sparklers. These
beautiful little lights are so happy and exciting. They are pretty unique and
great fun. Just make sure that the walk way the bride and groom walk down is
large enough that nothing is caught on fire!
